Cannot Update Firmware in Haptic Studio Running on Windows Parallels for Mac

I have a Mac/Apple computer running Windows Parallels virtual machine to run Haptic Studio. When I connect to the development kit, the automatic firmware update does not work.

This is a system-level incompatibility of Haptic Studio with Mac hardware. Firmware update is currently not supported on a Mac computer, even through a virtual machine. Please use a PC computer for the firmware update process.
