Cannot Update Firmware in Haptic Studio using Windows ARM Computer

Question:

I am using a Windows ARM processor computer. I cannot update the firmware in Haptic Studio.

Answer:

Haptic Studio does not support firmware update of the development kit on ARM computers running Windows, such as computers using Snapdragon X processor.

The Haptic Studio will run correctly, but the embedded firmware update feature will not work.

To update the firmware in such cases, follow instructions for manual firmware update given in appendix A of the User Guide. Note an ST-Link v3 probe is necessary; the USB port method described will not work.

Alternately, use another PC computer for the firmware update.
