Job opening - Account Manager - Technical

On top of being called Top start up to watch in the EE Times Silicon 100, our patented technology is capturing the attention of the world's greatest players and has the potential to be used in most of the devices around us, from cell phones to laptop to cars. We are looking for a Technical Account Manager to join our rapidly growing team. You will be the main point of contact for our customers. Your primary mission will be to support them and address their needs and concerns in order to convert opportunities to sales. You will be involved with most new opportunities and you will be involved in the full sales lifecycle.

We are in an important growth phase with an emerging haptic technology. This means for you that you do not only sell an integrated circuit, but that the customers adopt a complete and complex solution. It’s a technical sales challenge that you don’t find at every street corner 😉.

To properly support the different opportunities, you will work closely with the Marketing team, our field application engineers and our engineers who develop our demonstrators and prototypes. We believe that you will enjoy working on multiple opportunities (small, medium and large) including international OEMs (mobile phones, computers, etc).


Your daily life at Boréas

You will be in charge of managing all new opportunities to convert them into sales, which includes:

  • Be familiar with our technology and our value proposition in order to be able to present it and sell it to our potential customers;
  • Effectively manage and prioritize opportunities in our CRM (Hubspot) and document progress, important customer information and actions to be taken;
  • Answer basic technical questions for our customers and for our international product representatives / product managers (our field application engineer team will help you with complex & long-term questions!);
  • Communicate regularly with your team to share advancement of opportunities and customer feedback to continually improve the customer experience;
  • Write proposal of contracts and estimates;
  • Represent Boréas Technologies at various trade fairs (Smart Haptics, CES, World Haptic, Display Week, Euro Haptic, etc.)


What we are looking for

  • You have an education and / or relevant experience in electrical engineering (DEC, BAC), in order to be able to fully understand and sell our technology;
  • You have experience in B2B commercial prospecting, you are a skilled negotiator, and you are intellectually sharp;
  • You are autonomous, determined and you have the desire to win;
  • You have excellent communication skills (including listening!), you are client-oriented, and you easily relate to others;
  • You are recognized for your ability to work in a team;
  • You develop and deliver presentations with impact;
  • You are familiar with CRM software (Hubspot or other);
  • You are bilingual (French / English);
  • Post-COVID- you can travel abroad up to 20% of the time;
  • You can be flexible with your schedule to meet the needs of our international customers (mostly Asia).


It would be an asset, if in addition:

  • You have experience with complex sales;
  • You have knowledge of haptics or mechanics;
  • You have additional language knowledge (Mandarin, Korean, Japanese)
